(No Longer) Stranger in a Distant Land

Maybe a lack of cultural context is not necessarily a hindrance to true friendship. What matters, then?

We knew what we wanted to do.

It was entirely unexpected. But for that, I’m grateful.

We were able to live.

Spoiler alert: It was fine after all.

For we are human, too.

Every person has the freedom and opportunity to succeed and attain a better life.
